Obscure Pressings

This page lists the more obscure items available on No Future, namely anything cannot be considered a conventional pressing (e.g. promos, test pressings, acetates etc). This list is very unlikely to be complete, as there will be items that I am totally unaware of. If you know of something that is not listed here, please contact me.

Blitz - All Out Attack 7" (UK Release)

This item came up for sale on eBay twice in August/September 2010, with the winner of the first auction immediately listing it for sale again. It sold for £6.00 and £10.50 respectively. Neither seller could authenticate it as being a genuine promo copy, nor have I been able to gain any authentication from other sources. That said, it may be genuine, but to me looks like a common second pressing with a sticker on it stating "For Demonstration Purposes Only - Not For Public Resale".

Peter And The Test Tube Babies - Run Like Hell 7" (UK Release)

A light pink, blank-labelled, "pre-release review" copy, with a sticker across the hole on one side. There were about 30 of these pressed, which play 'Run Like Hell' on both sides. It did not come with a picture sleeve.

Violators - Die With Dignity 12" (UK Release)

A Mayking Test Pressing. The 'B' side label simply has "B1" hand written on it. It did not come with a picture sleeve.

Ths Screaming Dead - Paint It Black 7" (UK Release)

A Mayking Test Pressing. The 'B' side label simply has "B2" hand written on it. It did not come with a picture sleeve.

Blitz - Voice Of A Generation LP (UK Release)

Between 3 and 5 test pressings were produced for this LP in a standard sleeve.

The Partisans - The Partisans LP (UK Release)

Red Alert - We've Got The Power LP (UK Release)

Test Pressing. This is a scan of Steve Smith's personal copy. The 'B' side is plain.

V/A - Angels With Dirty Faces LP (UK Release)

Somewhere between 5 and 8 Mayking Test Pressings were produced for this LP, but I'm unsure as to whether this is in total or for each test pressing. There were two test pressings made (distinguishable by the dates stamped on them), presumably the first one was not satisfactory.

For the first pressing, the 'B' side label simply has "B1" hand written on it and came in a standard sleeve.

The second pressing came without the sleeve but has an A4 track list taped onto a standard white card sleeve.

The regular Japanese pressing is hard enough to find, but here's the white label sampler of the LP. It has the same cover, foldout lyric insert and OBI strip as per the standard Japanese pressing.
